Some Ring Manager Tips - 01/06/2009
Tips for Ring Managers:
1) Getting graphics

Go to Google and do a search using your Web Ring Title. Your Ring will usually show as the No. 1 position.

Then click on Images (top left of the page) to open the Google Images search results.

Add the words "clip art" or "artwork" or "logo" and search again.

Be sure to observe copyrights. Sometimes a website owner will give you permission to use a picture, especially if you "link" to their website.

2) Getting new members

Go to Google and do a search using your Web Ring Title. Your Ring will usually show as the No. 1 position.

Visit the Top 10 websites and invite them to Join your Web Ring.

3) Getting good Meta Tag information

Go to Google and do a search using your Web Ring Title. Your Ring will usually show as the No. 1 position.

Visit the top ranking websites and "View Source". See what Title they use and what Keywords they use and use that information for YOUR Web Ring and for YOUR member page.

4) Getting more traffic

Go to Google and do a search using your Web Ring Title. Your Ring will usually show as the No. 1 position.

Visit the top ranking websites and ask them to add your Web Ring Hub Page to their "links" page. You SHOULD link back to them. A great way to link back is from YOUR page in the Web Ring.

5) Getting Members to participate

Email ALL members and ask them to "click through" the member sites using the Navigation Bar. Ask them to RATE each site. Ask them to report problems to you. Set up a COMPETITION among the members and give away a "featured" position in the Ring.
